Sarah O'Neill arrives in Calgary looking forward to meeting her future husband, John Calloway, chief surgeon of the mounted police, only to discover that he has no idea who she is. It seems that some Mounties at Fort Calgary sent away for a wife for their friend and commander without telling him, and John isn't interested in marrying her.
